Cyclo Engineering is established in Coburg, Victoria, becoming one of the first Australian manufacturers dedicated to commercial kitchen exhaust equipment.

A visiting NASA engineer, George Lorette, works with Cyclo to refine the original fan and impeller designs. His aeronautical approach to airflow helps shape a new generation of more efficient, higher-pressure fans.

The Makris family acquires Cyclo Fans and relocates the business to Brunswick. Throughout the late 1990s and 2000s the range expands significantly, strengthening Cyclo’s reputation in commercial kitchen ventilation across Australia and neighbouring regions.

Cyclo International acquires Ticklay Engineering, bringing more than 25 years of Australian duct and filter manufacturing experience in-house. This investment allowed Cyclo International to locally manufacture commercial honeycomb and rangehood filters and ductwork alongside its established range of fans.

Cyclo International relocates from Brunswick to a larger manufacturing facility in Thomastown, improving workflow across fan, duct and filter production. During this period the Cyclomade® range expanded with the introduction of adjustable-pitch axial fans, APA mixed-flow fans, CVC and CIC centrifugal units and EC motor options.

Production commenced in our expanded Thomastown facility, bringing our sheetmetal team and new duct forming equipment under one roof. This expansion enabled the introduction of oval ducting into our extensive range and increased capacity for Cyclomade® fan, ductwork and filter manufacturing.
