Durable finishes for demanding environments
Powder coating is a practical way to increase the durability, appearance and service life of metal components exposed to commercial kitchen, industrial or outdoor conditions. At Cyclomade® we offer powder coating as an optional finishing service across most of our fabricated and manufactured products. This includes ductwork, fans, mounting hardware and general metalwork produced in our Thomastown facility.
All powder coating is completed locally using high quality materials and controlled processes. The finish is applied electrostatically and then cured to create a hard, uniform coating that resists corrosion, humidity and everyday wear. For customers working in coastal regions, visible rooftops, public facing areas or sites where presentation matters, powder coating provides a cleaner, longer lasting surface compared with standard galvanised or raw steel.
Our team will guide you on suitability, colour selection and lead times. Most orders are produced within standard fabrication timeframes, and the coating process has minimal impact on delivery schedules. If you are working to a strict installation date, please let us know upfront so we can plan the fabrication and coating sequence accordingly.

A cleaner, stronger way to join sheetmetal
A clinching machine offers an efficient and reliable method for joining sheetmetal without welding, rivets or surface preparation. Using controlled cold-forming, the machine creates an interlocking joint that maintains the original strength of the material while keeping coatings, finishes and protective layers intact. This produces a consistent, airtight connection suitable for commercial kitchen ductwork, general HVAC fabrication and broader sheetmetal applications.
For fabricators looking to streamline production, clinching provides a faster, cleaner and safer alternative to spot welding. The process uses very low energy, avoids heat distortion, and eliminates consumables such as electrodes, gas, or filler materials. Coated, galvanised, painted and even multi-layer composites can be joined without damaging the surface — making it a practical choice for modern workshop environments.
Why choose a clinching machine?
Typical lead time is 2–3 months, depending on configuration and any required modifications.
Each machine can be tailored to your preferred throat size, tooling and operating setup.
A 50% deposit is required upon order, with the balance due prior to dispatch. Freight is additional.
Most metal components we manufacture can be powder coated, including round and square ductwork, transitions, mounting feet, cowls, brackets and general sheetmetal items. We can also powder coat our fan casings. Filters are not powder coated.
Yes. Powder coating offers added protection against moisture and salt exposure, making it a strong option for coastal and high-humidity installations.
Most metals used in sheetmetal fabrication, including galvanised steel, stainless steel, aluminium, pre-painted material and coated surfaces. Multi-layer combinations can also be joined in many cases.
For many applications, yes. Clinching avoids heat, distortion and surface damage. However, very thick materials or structural load cases may still require welding — which we can advise on.
